Established in 1978 by Dr. S. S. Badrinath, Sankara Nethralaya is a not-for-profit, charitable eye hospital committed to providing high-quality, affordable eye care to all sections of society.

Our institution is a unique blend of a modern hospital, a research center, and an educational academy. We are recognized globally for our contributions to ophthalmology and vision sciences.
